Bilderberg Chateau Holtmuhle


Complete refurbishment of hotel in a historic castle which involved supply and fitting of 64 guest rooms and complete public spaces items. Due to constant operation of the hotel during refurbishment deliveries and fit-out needed to be well coordinated with the hotel to have as little disturbance as possible. All installation actions also needed to be coordinated with the rest working teams on site so the work flow was not interrupted.

Overview

Involved sample room preparation, evaluation of visual style and implementation of design modifications into new presentation to client. Production of serie in very limited time with some detail alternations still in confirmation. 
Transportation was made in semi KD state, in four stage deliveries combining room furniture and public area items according to hotel demands. Site had a difficult access due to hotel's location on an island in the middle of a pond with medieval castle portal in front of connecting bridge, so all furniture had to be transported with trolleys and forklifts.
Instalation needed to be in sync with other installation groups on site which increased the pressure. Non uniform room layout due to old building required work in small groups and effective planning and organisation.

Materials

All visible hotel guest room items  had a stained beech veneer finish and solid wood decorative crowns and pedestals. Public area items were made in wenge decor MFC / HPL combination with bar front facade custom made in upholstered fabric finish with buttons. All public counters received a natural Nero Assoluto granite stone as well as all delivered washbasin counters in guest rooms.
